Panelists will share some of the new technology in use at their institutions and how it aects the overall infrastructure of their organizations. How do we support the BYO (Bring Your Own) device or computer movement where users demand access to organizational resources from their personal phones, tablets, and laptops. Is this a cost savings or a strain on the IT infrastructure? How are the shape of IT and the thinking about what IT encompasses changing? Can we focus on infrastructure and be a place for innovation and collaboration with the content producers within the museum? Presenters will discuss how IT support has evolved and how various museums are surviving the evolution of IT within their organizations.
