Particular attention will be given to new development in terms of IIIF APIs and the image viewer Mirador, and how the museum community is shaping the development of these tools. Jeff Steward is the Director of Digital Infrastructure and Emerging Technology (DIET) at the Harvard Art Museums. Jeff will discuss a IIIF manifest service (https://github.com/harvardartmuseums/api-docs#iiif) for the entire collection of 250,000 art objects and integrated the Mirador viewer as a configurable module in the digital tour platform on the Harvard Art Museum's public website. David Beaudet is a software developer and solution architect with the National Gallery of Art . David will discuss the enhancements in Mirador 2.1 to provide the multi-museum ConservationSpace project and the IIIF community with new tools to annotate, explore and share conservation images. He'll also show future use cases that showcase how image delivery, access, and interoperability is evolving thanks to IIIF.
